in early july we crossed the border from the netherlands into germany. and then, the rain started... and it didn't stop for a week. needless to say, this made cycling a bit more challenging. luckily, we were about to take our first train ride from meppen to berlin. crossing germany in a little over 3 hours seemed like a miracle after all of the kilometers we put on our bikes. i'd like to say the sights were beautiful, but in true stephanie style, i slept the whole way.

-me next to a hunebed. what is a hunebed you say? i don't know. they are megalithic tombs dating from 3-4000 BC but their origins are still unknown.

-cycling signs! i love the netherlands (aka the country made for cyclers)
